The merge of School Education Gateway and eTwinning
Two EU portals, namely the School Education Gateway and eTwinning, will merge under the name of European School Education Platform.
According to the news published on the websites, the merge is estimated to happen in May 2022. EU Login profile will be a requirement for the users to gain access to the European School Education Platform.

The information available in accord with the news is as follows:
- The merged website will be accessible at school-education.ec.europa.eu.
- The previous platforms will be serviceable with their original contents until September 2022, however, creating new applications will strictly be available on the new website.
- The catalogue of School Education Gateway will also be available on the European School Education Platform.
- Accessing the new portal will only be possible with an EU Login user profile, which is not unfamiliar for people working with Erasmus projects. Data generated by previous registrations will be synchronized and transferred to the new platform.
- Courses previously generated in School Education Gateway – Teacher Academy will not be transferred to the new website; an application must be submitted for the transfer until 15 June 2022.
- The application of eTwinning will also be shut down and replaced with a new application to be developed after 2022.
