Staff Course in Slovenia

Between November 18 and 23, 2024, two of our colleagues participated in the "Teaching Character: Positive Psychology for Every Teacher" Erasmus+ course organized by Skupina Primera in Ljubljana.

Our colleagues attended the training within the framework of our Erasmus+ adult education project under the reference number 2023-2-HU01-KA122-ADU-000178811.
During the course, they gained an in-depth understanding of the principles of positive psychology, such as character strengths, growth mindset, and resilience. The program proved particularly beneficial as it provided practical tools and methods to effectively integrate these principles into their daily work.

Among the topics covered, recognizing and developing character strengths, for example, can help colleagues better understand one another and work more effectively together by assigning project tasks based on individual strengths.

The growth mindset fosters continuous learning and development, contributing to greater workplace satisfaction and performance. Developing resilience helps employees manage stress and challenges more effectively, ensuring long-term success.

Skupina Primera also ensured that participants became familiar with the host country's culture. On the first day of the course, they participated in a guided city tour in the capital, where they learned about Slovenia's history. On the second evening, they joined participants from parallel courses for a traditional Slovenian dinner. On Wednesday, the team visited Lake Bled.

In addition, the colleagues visited a high school in Škofja Loka, where the school's psychologist and a teacher demonstrated how they practically support students using positive psychology and the growth mindset.

At the end of the training, our colleagues received an Europass certificate acknowledging their acquired knowledge. The skills and knowledge gained during the course significantly contribute to fostering a positive and supportive workplace environment, as well as enhancing the soft skills and mindset of our colleagues.
