Progress in Youth Cooperation – Our Colleagues at the ESC Coach Workshop

We are pleased to share that two of our colleagues took part in the professional training event ESC Coach Workshop – How to Support Young People!, organized by the Tempus Public Foundation, held in Budapest from 1–3 October 2025.

The aim of the program was to provide participants with methods and tools to better support young people’s community initiatives, learning processes, and collaboration.
Throughout the three-day workshop, we encountered numerous practical approaches and inspiring examples related to working effectively with young people. The main topics of the program included:
• developing teamwork and communication,
• motivating and engaging young people around shared goals,
• raising awareness of learning processes and providing feedback-based support,
• and applying non-formal learning methods effectively.
The insights gained from the workshop directly contribute to enabling the Gordius team to work even more effectively with European student groups arriving in Budapest.
In our future work with young participants, we aim to place even greater emphasis on:
• fostering independent thinking and collaboration skills,
• helping students recognize the competences they acquire during their mobility experience,
• and encouraging them to turn their experiences and learning journeys into personal growth.

For Gordius, international mobility programs are not only about professional development but also about meaningful human connections.
The knowledge gained at the “ESC Coach Workshop” helps us support the students who come to Budapest in a more conscious, empathetic, and inspiring way, ensuring that their time with us becomes a truly life-changing experience.
