
This intensive German language course develops students' language skills in 25 lessons per week at five levels (A1 to C1). The curriculum focuses on the development of the four basic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), using a variety of topics and communicative situations. The aim of the course is to enable students to use the language effectively in everyday and professional life.
Learning objectives
A1: Dealing with basic communication situations (introducing yourself, family, shopping, making phone calls).A2: Developing extended communication skills (tourism, housing, culture, sightseeing).
B1: Understanding and producing complex texts, work and future-related topics.
B2: Deepening grammar, vocabulary, formal and informal language use.
C1: Abstract topics, nuanced language use, use of complex grammatical structures.
Activities
A1: Introductions, naming occupations, talking about family, shopping situations, practising making phone calls.A2: Furnishing advice, tourist recommendations, planning a city tour, discussing cultural activities.
B1: dealing with friendship and workplace issues, customer service situations, future technological changes.
B2: Office work environment, media vocabulary, grammatical structures (e.g. passive, sockets).
C1: Social issues (e.g. consumer society), developing tourism, processing fairy tales and educational stories.
