This intensive English language course offers students 25 lessons per week at five different levels (A1.1 to C1.1). The curriculum is structured thematically, with different topics, grammatical structures and vocabulary covered at each level. The aim of the course is to develop communicative language use and to achieve confident use of the language in everyday situations.
Learning objectives
A1.1 - Beginner level: dealing with basic communication situations, introductions, family, work, leisure.A2.1 - Basic: Daily routine, past events, expressing future plans, music, meals, holidays.
B1.1 - Intermediate: personality, relationships, media, stories, expressing future plans.
B2.1 - Intermediate: use of more complex grammatical structures, emotions, travel, heroes.
C1.1 - Advanced: abstract concepts, linguistic nuances, narratives, synonyms, language styles.
Activities
A1.1: Introduction, naming countries and nationalities, describing family relationships, practising simple questions and answers.A2.1: Describing daily routines, sharing musical tastes, telling about past experiences, making plans for the future.
B1.1: Describing personality traits, simulating debates, telling stories, analysing television programmes.
B2.1: Describing emotions and situations, sharing travel experiences, presenting heroes, expressing temporal relationships.
C1.1: Practising grammatical subtleties (e.g. passive structures, narrative tenses), dealing with abstract topics (e.g. knowledge, community).
